Our Story
A Jalisco Kitchen, Rooted in Pleasanton
Los Gallos de Jalisco opened its doors as a home away from home for the Pleasanton community — a place where big families pack the tables on Sunday mornings and everyone leaves full. From 5:30 in the morning, our griddles are already going, turning out huevos, machacado, and fresh tortillas the way our families in Jalisco always made them.
We're proud to be the kind of restaurant where regulars are greeted by name and first-timers are treated like family from the first basket of chips. Our salsa bar is legendary around here — we offer a full range of heat levels, right up to a habanero salsa that our servers will (kindly) warn you about before you dig in.
Whether you're stopping in for an early breakfast before work, gathering the whole family after church, or craving a plate of tacos that tastes like it came from someone's abuela's kitchen, Los Gallos de Jalisco is here for it — every day, 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

“First time visiting this past Sunday and of course it was busy. I love that big family gatherings were happening — just means a lot of people enjoy going here. Food was good, have no complaints with it. Tea was sweet! But delicious. Let's talk salsas… not many places offer different levels of heat but they sure did. Our lovely waitress gave us a habanero salsa, and did warn us that it would be hot. We took the challenge and let me just say it did not disappoint. I felt very warm after eating it. Would definitely go back.”
